Lynda Cullen and Fintan Lucy have collaborated and performed together for over twenty
years and have discovered a mysterious magic that sits somewhere between the down-to-
earth delivery of well-crafted songs and celestial vocal harmony. This show draws on original
songs from Fintan’s album The Is and Was and Maybes and Lynda’s albums Paper Boat
(2014) and Smoke Without a Fire (2019) and will also include many new songs which
feature on their upcoming releases later this year. Both respected solo artists in their own
right, they join creative forces to explore new emotional and musical terrains. Their finely
crafted lyrics, expressive guitar work, and vocal interplay capture the nuances of lived
experience and human vulnerability, bringing an unmistakable authenticity to their songs’
themes of connection, memory and transformation. Together, Fintan Lucy and Lynda Cullen
represent the best of Irish contemporary folk: honest songcraft, poetic expression, and music
that will stay with you long after the final note.
