At Levis, all ticket sales go directly to the performing artist. As a small grassroots venue, rising costs make it harder to keep live shows going. This small contribution goes towards essential expenses so we can continue supporting independent, new, and emerging artists. Thank you for coming out and supporting live music.

How I Became A Wave

Levis Corner House

Sat 16th May, 8:00 pm

How I Became A Wave is the solo project of Cork artist Pat Carey (formerly of The Hard Ground). Blending literary influence with lush strings and pedal steel, the project creates “aggressively quiet” music — reflective, intimate, and quietly powerful.

Inspired by writers and artists across folk and contemporary classical, the songs explore love, loss and the beauty of everyday moments.

The forthcoming debut album features some of Ireland’s finest musicians and has earned national radio support, festival appearances, and a spot on The Irish Independent’s Ones to Watch for 2026.

New single ‘Sea Swell’ out now.
