The Guilteens: 'Heavy Letters' EP Launch with guests Flywheel and That Guy

The Guilteens are a 4-piece band from Cork City who have been quietly making a name for themselves on the Irish music scene since forming in 2023.

Formed out of a shared love for dark melodies and jagged rhythms, their sound can be both visceral and melodic—songs that strike like a knife but linger like a memory.

The band draw inspiration from the grit of garage rock, the looseness of psychedelia and the moody aesthetics of French New Wave cinema.

The Guilteens, made up of Finn Sedas (Guitar, Piano, Vocals), Tomás O’Brien (Bass), Cathal Nally (Guitar, Trumpet) and Shane Murphy (Drums) released their debut single ‘Further Down The Channel’ in March 2025 and have kept busy touring Ireland and playing notable slots with other rising Irish acts such as Cardinals, Therapy Horse and Jean Pack.

On stage, The Guilteens bring a fierce presence, with driving rhythms and shadow-drenched visuals that turn each performance into an immersive experience.

The band release their debut EP ‘Heavy Letters’ on October 31st via Parisian label LVP records preceded by the single ‘Born Evil’ on September 30th.

For fans of bands that carry both bite and poetry.

Flywheel

Flywheel is a five-piece psychedelic pop band originating in Cork, Ireland. The band takes its influence from a range of sources – 90’s shoegaze, Cocteau Twins, Quickspace Supersport, Burial, as well as modern day artists such as Gilla Band, Tonstartssbandht, and Yard Act.

Their first album “She” was released while based in Stockholm with IWH Records, with Ann Marie Ryan’s ethereal, deadpan cool vocals swirling over Mark Tangney and Kieran Curtin’s layered guitars on songs grounded in driving bass (Paul Kelleher) and drums (Mick O’Donovan).

The band has been regularly releasing new material in the last 2 years, refreshing and building on their earlier sound, with Ian Vitali recently taking on drums.
