Introducing our new MID-WEEK SESSIONS SERIES CONCERTS.
We're delighted to announce, Kevin Hill who is on tour from the USA to be the third concert of our new series THE MID-WEEK SESSIONS.
Kevin Hill is a rare talent... a soulful vocalist, a world class jazz/rock guitarist and a witty, meaningful, and deeply introspective lyricist. A Wiser Time Records artist, his music has been enjoyed worldwide through digital and physical media. Hill and his musical family have shared billings and stages with legends like Sting, Levon Helm, Gov't Mule, Ziggy Marley, Dickey Betts, Johnny Winter. Hill's guitar mentor Ted Dunbar was a legendary jazz educator who also instructed Trey Anastasio and Vernon Reid. Forged by the jazz organ groups of the Newark, NJ school of musical hard knocks and given rainbow luminescence by the spiritual awakening of the Grateful Dead, Santana and Phish, Hill brings the best of the improvised music tradition to every performance.?A devoted father and an advocate for mental health and substance abuse awareness, the intention behind Hill's music is to help and to heal.
How it works
On the night, we will be âpassing a hatâ and you can contribute what you think is fair and can afford. This is something weâre trying out and we will need to see if it is viable. If it proves that it works, then we aim to hold a limited number of concerts throughout the year for this series to start with, and hopefully itâs something we can develop thereafter.
Please bear in mind, the artists who will be participating in this series are established niche audience people and we hope that donations will at the very least cover their costs for coming to The Richmond Revival, and at best, that thereâll be enough good will from the audience such that their time and effort will be reflected through the donations also.
Please Note: The venue operates a pop up cafĂŠÂ which offers a range of liquid refreshments in exchange for CASH ONLY on the night. The Richmond Revival is in the centre of Fermoy, easily accessible via Bus Ăireann. There are also a number of ACCOMMODATION options available onsite. We offer budget single, twin or double rooms with a shared bathroom and kitchen. There is also a self contained two bedroom suite with private bathroom, kitchenette and lounge. Campers and camper vans are welcome. Email the venue directly for further information.
Please further note: by purchasing a ticket to this event, as part of your admission fee, you are automaticaly joining The Richmond Revival Cultural Activity Appreciation Club. The rules of the club are binding â Richmond House is a private family home and people are expected to respect this â No alcohol is to be brought onto the premises â Basic common sense, decency and kindness is expected from all members. Breaches of these rules will result in immediate suspension of club membership and admittance.We pride ourselves on having beautiful evenings of exquisite original creative music for all to enjoy so lets keep it up!
