An Spailpín Fánach 2pm Fiddle Concert: Pax Ó Faoláin, Garry Cronin, Aishlin Walshe, Deirdre Moynihan, Maeve Donnolly €10

This year’s fiddle concert features fiddle styles from different parts of Ireland.

Maeve Donnolly from Galway started playing fiddle at the age of six and won her first All-Ireland Fiddle Competition at the age of nine. She was a member of Moving Cloud. Deirdre Moynihan from Cork was a member of the group Calico and she features on “The Lights of Ranzanico”, the critically acclaimed recording by Diarmaid and Donncha Moynihan. Garry Cronin won several prizes at Fleadhs in the 1960’/70’s and taught classical guitar at the Cork School of Music. He is a great admirer of the music of Charlie Lennon. Pax Ó Faoláin is a traditional fiddle player, singer and producer from An Rinn, Co. Waterford. He is a composer and is working on projects which aim to preserve and revive the music of traditional musicians. Aisling is a young Cork fiddle player, she is studying at UCC and is a member of the Trad Soc, Aishlin plays in the Sliabh Luachra Style.
