Get ready to rock! Fred Zeppelins Annual Battle of the Bands is back. We're excited to showcase some of the best talent that Cork and Ireland has to offer. Watch as these amazing bands battle it out for the top prize of €1000 and exhibit raw talent, immense stage presence and song writing excellence.

PORCELAIN EYES, BOBBY HO, DOC ROE

PORCELAIN EYES is an energetic, hard-hitting, melodic rock band from the South East D.I.Y community in Waterford City. Musically, they pull from the angular bite of Pixies, the fuzzed-out drive of Queens of the Stone Age, the emotive depth of Jeff Buckley, the sludge and heft of Melvins, and the grit of 90s grunge with a sprinkle of punk rock.

BOBBY HO is a Cork based singer-songwriter, and just recently completed the BA in Popular Music in the CSM. Their music is a mix of Neo-soul, R&B and pop, with lyrics surrounding mental health struggles, being a mixed race person growing up in Ireland and relationships.

DOC ROE are a 3 piece band from Cork playing loud, raw music with fast moving meaty riffs that bring a classic grunge/hard rock sound. To keep fans on their toes they also throw in some texture changes, different time signatures and shack up in dynamics. A band hellbent on captivating every audience they meet by explosive energy, emotive words and loud rock music. No tricks, no gimmicks, just a grá for the live stuff.
