Mark Lyndon Silhouettes Album Launch show

Mark Lyndon is a multi-disciplinary Irish folk artist whose work sits at the intersection of traditional storytelling and contemporary composition. A UCC BMus graduate with a background in piano and film scoring, Lyndon’s current output is defined by his versatility that has earned him a place on stages with folk heavy weights including Dónal Lunny, Andy Irvine, Seán Keane, Muireann Bradley and Susan O’ Neill.

A multi-instrumentalist with a cinematic sensibility, Lyndon weaves the intricate fingerpicking of the 70s folk revival into a tapestry of modern storytelling. With a guitar style that echoes the intricate melancholy of Nick Drake and the rhythmic mastery of Paul Brady, Lyndon has spent a lifetime refining his craft.

Lyndon’s debut solo project, Silhouettes, represents a landmark in regional conceptual folk. Based on extensive archival research in the Blackwater Valley, the album eschews dry historical retelling in favor of a visceral, first-person perspective. The result is a guitar-driven soundscape that explores the timeless persistence of emotion across generations.

Mark Lyndon is no longer just a student of the Irish tradition—he is one of its most compelling new custodians.
