Touring and radio airplay:
The band has toured extensively, playing festival’s such as Electric Picnic, The Kilkenny Outdoor Music Festival (with Frank&Walters, The Stunning, Mundy), along with venues all across the country including Kavanaghs in Portlaoise, Monroes of Galway, Courtney’s in Killarney, The The Soundhouse Dublin (Garageland Sessions), and most Cork venues, including Cork City Hall, Cork Opera House, and numerous headline slots in the Crane Lane and The Pav.
The Alkove supported Aslan on the Cork leg of their “Feel No Shame” tour at Cork Opera House, and supported them once again in Cork’s Big Top Festival in 2022. The Alkove also supported Christy Dignam and Joe Jewell of Aslan in at two concerts raising funds for the charity Flame Of Hope.
The Alkove also headlined Sober Lane as part of the ‘96/1 Festival’ held in Cork, where 96 bands from across the country played over one day at venues across the city, and also headlined on the main stage at the Liverpool FC Legends day in Cork.
The band’s music gets regular play on radio including RedFM, Highland Radio, TippFM, CUHFM. The Alkove have appeared live on RedFM, Highland Radio, and also CRY FM, giving interviews while playing some live tracks in the studio, (creating at the time CRYFMs biggest ever listenership figure).
