Sarah Hickey

Coughlan's

Sun 13th Oct, 7:30 pm

Sarah Hickey is a songwriter and performer from Cork, known for her understated yet powerful music. With a style that blends indie, folk, and pop influences, Sarah’s songs are defined by their introspective lyrics and emotive melodies.

Sarah Hickey is also immersed in the visual aspect of her music. For her releases she paints the cover art herself. The artwork is a visual representation of the music’s lyrical content and overall feel.

After many years writing, recording and performing live across Ireland, the UK and Germany, this October will see the release of Sarah Hickey’s highly anticipated debut album.

“Powerful, but never flashy; subtle, but completely absorbing” – CLASH

“Vivid songwriting, intricate instrumentation and dazzling vocals” – Wonderland

With special guest John James

John James has quickly been rising through the ranks of the Irish comedy scene, appearing in such venues at Live At St. Luke’s (Cork), Dolans (Limerick), Crash and Burn, Sin É (Dublin), Monroes (Galway) and more. John has shared opened for the likes of Vittorio Angelone, Patrick McDonnell (Father Ted) and Owen Colgan (Hardy Bucks).

He can be seen regularly in many bars and comedy clubs around Ireland, as well as the odd bus stop and car-boot sale.

When not performing comedy on stage, John James co-hosts a popular comedy podcast, ‘The Langer and The Gowl’, where he and co-host Lauren cover a broad range of topics with a funny twist.
