Legendary Irish singer/songwriter Andy Irvine is coming to perform at The Richmond Revival! With his impressive repertoire of Irish traditional songs and dexterous Balkan dance tunes, he creates an exciting new fusion of Irish and World Music not to be missed.
Having travelled the world with bands such as Sweeney’s Men, Patrick Street, Planxty, and more recently Mozaik, Andy continues to pursue new combinations and styles of music. He has broadened his musical horizons over the course of his forty-year career to encompass the musical styles of countries he visits, such as the Balkan folk style of playing. Between the achievements of his solo, group work and collaborations, he is a highly revered troubadour of the Irish music world. Andy Irvine never fails to deliver a pulsating, heartfelt performance!
Please Note: The venue operates a pop up café which offers a range of liquid refreshments in exchange for CASH ONLY on the night. The Richmond Revival is in the centre of Fermoy and is accessible via Bus Éireann. There are also a number of ACCOMMODATION options available onsite ranging from budget double and twin rooms with a shared bathroom to a high end luxury suite. Please further note that by purchasing a ticket to this event you are effectively, as part of your admission fee, are joining the Richmond Reivial cultural activity appreciation club and are bound by the rules of said club. Namely, but not exclusively, No alcohol is permitted to be brought onto the premisis. Abusive behaviour towards volunteer staff will not be tolerated and general antisococial behaviour including tresspass onto private areas of Richmond House, which is a private home will result in immediate suspension of club membership and admittence/ejection from the building.
